CanFirst Capital Management, founded by Paul Braun and Allan Perez, commenced business in 2002. Our first acquisition, a single property, required equity of approximately $2,000,000. Subsequently, CanFirst has formed real estate Funds that contain a portfolio of properties in order to create diversification for its investors. Funds representing capital raises of over $200,000,000 have been completed. Our investments and Funds are focused on specifically targeted properties. Our investors include both institutions and individuals. Each Fund's structure ensures an alignment of interest between the fund advisor and our investors. We only seek real estate that meets our stated objectives:
Paul Braun's real estate career spans 35 years. It includes senior executive positions with Cadillac Fairview and more recently Dundee Realty Corporation. In addition, Mr. Braun was a founding shareholder of V&A Properties. V&A Properties successfully developed, acquired and managed commercial and residential properties both for its own account as well as for financial institutions, pension funds and private investors. Mr. Perez was a senior officer and shareholder of V&A Properties.
